Child Safeguarding & Online Safety Policy
Effective Date: October 2026
At JoinQuran, the safety, well-being, and protection of our young students is our highest priority. We take comprehensive measures to maintain a safe, respectful, and nurturing virtual classroom environment for every learner.
1. Tutor Screening & Verification
Before conducting lessons with students, all teaching candidates must pass our multi-stage evaluation process, which includes:
- Identity & Credential Verification: Formal check of religious qualifications (Hafiz-e-Quran certificates and Tajweed Ijazahs).
- Teaching Competency Assessment: Live evaluation of classroom management, patience, clarity of instruction, and child engagement.
- Code of Conduct Compliance: Mandatory signing of the JoinQuran Child Protection and Professional Ethics Agreement.
2. Parent Presence & Transparency
We actively support and encourage parental involvement in every child's learning journey:
- Parents are welcome to sit in on or observe any live lesson at any time without prior notice.
- We recommend that children attend online sessions in a communal living area rather than an isolated bedroom.
- Tutors communicate strictly through designated official academy channels and never engage in private, unmonitored communication with students outside class hours.
3. Session Conduct & Monitoring
To uphold rigorous educational and safety standards:
- Lessons are conducted exclusively through official video conferencing platforms under academy supervision.
- Instructors must adhere to professional Islamic attire and decorum at all times.
- Any form of harsh language, physical gestures of impatience, or unprofessional conduct is strictly prohibited and results in immediate suspension pending investigation.
4. Data Privacy for Minors
In accordance with the UK GDPR and international child privacy standards:
- We never publish student personal data, full names, or home addresses.
- Student testimonials and reviews are anonymized or published only with explicit written parental consent.
